Our Vision and Mission

In a modern healthcare world, the path to consistent organizational success and “real-world” outcomes is more and more dependent on identifying the changing needs of patients, from their perceived experiences and expectations to their level of involvement in treatment decisions. By capturing the insights of patients and developing engagement plans, healthcare providers can continue to improve quality and outcomes while partnering with their patients as co-designers of their healthcare. The goal of Key Patient Insights is to create a world where providers and patients form a lasting partnership along the continuum of care that results in improved outcomes.

Simply focusing on patient satisfaction or education without fully engaging patients in the decision-making processes can lead to a false sense of quality care and less desirable outcomes. A fully engaged patient is one who understands their medical condition, participates in critical decision making, becomes a co-designer of their treatment plan, and adheres to that plan to the best of their ability. A true partnership is one based on mutual trust and integrity. Our mission is to continuously gather patient insights to develop improved patient engagement programs that result in better outcomes for all.

Now is the time to find a better path to Patient Engagement.

Build a systematic and consistent approach to gathering patient information.

The inclusion of patient thoughts, decisions, experience, behavior, emotions, and opinions in decision-making processes can help achieve better outcomes.

Assess current efforts with patient engagement programs.

By conducting an analysis of current efforts in patient engagement and evaluating those efforts against best-practice programs, providers can develop improved plans for engaging patients.

Conduct patient journey maps.

Document the ongoing sequence of care events that a patient follows from entry into the health system, continuing towards diagnosis and care, and ending with outpatient care at home. Comprehensive or segmented journey maps result in improved care and patient health outcomes.

Create a patient engagement plan of action.

With a better understanding of patient insights and needs, creating a plan of action for improved patient engagement will result in enhanced quality measures and favorable healthcare outcomes. By making continuous improvements to patient engagement programs, both providers and patients will achieve optimal results along the continuum of care.

Develop patient partnership plans.

Develop pivotal patient insights and engagement solutions to address unmet concerns, needs, and expectations. By using a patients’ capacity to improve care delivery and product design, every patient will have an investment in their well-being. This partnership will have a lasting effect on total care delivery with more favorable outcomes and satisfaction.

“In terms of supporting strategic marketing and core business, patient insight can change the direction of the development and marketing effort for a brand. While becoming more patient-focused, it supports a process of achieving better patient outcomes”
